The problem
Almost every text-to-speech tool worth using hides behind subscriptions, API keys, or character caps. People who need voices daily — students, creators, accessibility users — end up paying rent on a commodity feature.
Key decisions
- 01
Neural voices are served through edge-tts while offline speech falls back to the device's built-in voices, so the studio degrades gracefully instead of dying without a connection.
- 02
Zero accounts, zero keys, zero telemetry: nothing is uploaded, and speech history lives only on the user's device.
- 03
One feature set across three shells — desktop app, Android APK, and web app — sharing the same voice catalogue, previews, and MP3/WAV export.
Outcome
47 neural voices across US, UK, Australian, Indian and more accents, with speed and volume control, a searchable voice list, and speech history — free forever, on Windows, Android, and the web.
